Tobacco which is also called(Nicotiana tabacum) is a herb plant, it is native to north and south America because it was originally grown by the natives,(Tobacco and nicotine, January 16,) it is  a fast growing plant and its height is 4-8 feet or 1-3 m.Tobacco is raised, it’s leaves are refined and dried to make cigarettes, hookah, pipes and chewing purpose. (Tobacco,2011) .It is basically used for 2 main things: drugs and medicines, but the native Americans usually used it for holy things and rituals,they often did not inhale the smoke into the lungs instead they used to blow it facing the great spirit as an offering. When it was first taken to the Europe for use it became very popular as a competitive activity. John rolfe was the first person who raised tobacco plants as a trading crop in the early seventeenth-century in Jamestown, Virginia. Around 1620, 40,000 pounds of tobacco were transported to England and it became a profitable crop, from then onwards it is a money maker crop.(Tobacco and nicotine, January 16,)
